- Dark greenish sky, large hail
- A loud roar like a freight train
Before / 02
- Pick your shelter spot: lowest floor, interior room, no windows
- Keep shoes, helmets and a flashlight there
- Turn on emergency alerts on your phone
- Practice getting there in under a minute
During / 03
- Go to shelter immediately
- Cover heads and necks: helmets, cushions or arms
- If in a car or mobile home, get to a sturdy building
After / 04
- Watch for downed power lines and broken glass
- Text, don't call, to keep lines open
- Photograph damage for insurance
