What it is / 01
A notice that tap water may contain bacteria or chemicals, often after main breaks, pressure loss or treatment problems.
Warning signs
- Boil-water notice from your city
- Low water pressure
- Cloudy, discolored or odd-smelling water
Before / 02
- Keep stored drinking water
- Own a water filter and purification tablets
During / 03
- Boil water at a rolling boil for 1 minute
- Use stored or bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth and formula
- Don't use ice from the freezer
After / 04
- Flush taps for several minutes when lifted
- Replace fridge filters
